N/Rit is better. You get soul reaping that way which will bring you in a lot more energy compared to a Rit/N.
And as a N/Rit you can also change over higher in the game to a N/Me which offers other advantages. Thing to do is simply pick something and start playing. A lot of questions will answer themselves. |

It depends on what you want to achieve with your character.
Ritualists are very versatile - spirit spam, DwG and Soul twisting are 3 builds often in use. Spirit spamming is a good way to solo farm, upto and including high end areas such as the Underworld and Fissure of Woe. Necromancers on the other hand do benefit from soul reaping, and make useful additions to any party with minion walls. Necros can normally be played as well or better by the AI, which has better reflexes and can assess which minions / party members to cast Death Nova on. By contrast, 2 very useful Rit skills - Vampirism and Summon Spirits - are PvE only meaning that heroes have no access to them. Wilebill is right - pick something and play. I personally have 1 of each and enjoy both dependant on what I want to do that moment. |

Opinions. Play something YOU enjoy. Every combination has it's advantages and disadvantages. Check out pvxwiki or the official wiki for information on secondary professions.
